Origins

At our core, FS Woodworks is a high-end architectural millwork installation company. Made up of a group of passionate and talented woodworkers, we expertly execute on-site interior finish carpentry tasks. And we love every second of it. FS Woodworks is co-owned by Mark Schaefer and Theo Farver, two friends who met on a job site in Boulder CO in early 2012.

Since then, the two have been working together as subcontractors, working on high-end interior millwork and cabinet installations throughout the Front Range. After working together for nearly six years, Mark and Theo gained access to some great work and high-end custom, home builders in Boulder. And as demand for their work continued to increase, the duo had to start hiring help to keep up with the projects.

In 2018 FS Woodworks officially formed as a company. They now employ eight full-time interior trim carpenters and work with a very talented carpentry pool of sub contractors in the area. In the years to come, the team looks forward to building on what they’ve created, training young men and women in the fine craft of finish carpentry, while learning and honing their own skills along the way.
